Artist residencies
all that we are is an immersive practice project.
This means everything we do in the house works towards our coals of connecting individuals and communities through creativity. We run a range of programs suited…
Family residencies
Individual artists, small groups, alumni and families
WHY APPLY? Because you are worth it and you don’t reward your hard work enough. Joining us for a residency provides time for you to focus on nurturing your capacity and meeting your personal needs. It’s an opportunity for time out of your usual routines and spaces to develop your practice.
WHO IS IT FOR: The residencies are open to artists and creative industries practitioners of all types and levels. Our alumni have priority access. The program is intended for individual artists, but small groups (up to 4) can apply.
WHAT HAPPENS: The residencies are self-directed. This is time for you to do what you need to do. Your residency comes with 2 coaching sessions, private room accommodation, a shared work/think/read space. Catering is DIY, with a dinner party on Fridays. An ATWA residency is an opportunity for Professional Development - take time to reflect, strategise and develop new work. You are able to customise your experience with additional services, from beach tours to daily coaching.
This is not suitable for messy works. This is a space better suited to reflection, research and contemplation.
COST: $800 per week including private accommodation, shared bathrooms, and shared access to co-working/living space. Food is not included. Additional services are available.

WHAT HAPPENS: This is not your usual venue. Retreat to your own wing in a home filled with art, surrounded by 5 acres of bush, spectacular views of the Tasmanian coastline, and an outstanding home-cooked meal. Add to that all the AV gear you might need, break-out spaces, an optional DIY kitchen and endless coffee and healthy home-baked treats and it’s hard to go wrong.
Packages are tailored to suit your group. We can offer accommodation for small groups, or lodge in the city and join us during the day. We can also host evening experiences like Donor Dinners. Self-cater or let us look after everything for you. Add on local experiences (get your hands dirty with a master potter? Visit our 7 beaches?) or simply knuckle down and get to work.
WHO IS IT FOR? Organisations, Boards, Leadership teams, special programs, anyone looking for a place with a difference.
