Lauren Catellani is an independent artist based in Boorloo/Perth. She works across a variety of different disciplines and roles including performer, choreographer, dramaturg, producer, researcher and teacher.
She completed her formal dance training at The West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (2016), and Link Dance Company (2017) and recently completed an international exchange with Dance Nucleus in Singapore (2022).

Lauren’s work has been commissioned by events and festivals such as The Fremantle Biennale, Perth Festival, Audible Edge Festival and New Sounds Festival.

Lauren’s arts practice focuses on dialogues with objects, people, spaces, working with unpredictability and in collaboration with other mediums.
Her work questions what it means to situate and negotiate a body with other human and non-human entities? She is fascinated by creating circumstances whereby bodies, objects and space can intersect and perform together on non-hierarchical ground.
