Matt Levy in residence

Raised in Arizona, Matthew has been fascinated by geology since a childhood. A recent graduate of the Masters program at Montana State University, Matthew’s primary focus is sourcing local clays and rocks for use as ceramic glaze materials. With a house and studio located in Minnesota, where he lives with his fiancée, he is deeply connected to the growing pottery scene there in the St. Croix River Valley. Matt is in residence at 1450 for three weeks to be part of the Woodfiring residency in partnership with Ridgeline Pottery and to attend the Australian Ceramics Treinnale Tasmania
