Simon speaks at launch of Jeonju, City of Arts Education

Simon spent two days in Jeonju, at the invitation of the Mayor, to speak at the launch of an exciting new initiative for Korea. Jeonju has established itself as a City of Arts Education. Three international speakers took part in the day, including Dan Henriksson from Klockrite Thteare in Finland, and Gerhard Jager, from Art Basics for Children, in Belgium.

JFOCA 2019 (Jeonju International Forum of Creativity, Imagination and Play. Arts Education for the next generation) is a significant event for Jeonju in declaring Arts Education (or just PLAY, as the Mayor says) as a City initiative. The plans include the the identification of arts resources in the city - inclduing teaching artists. The event took place at the magnificent new Palbok Arts factory.
