He had a Dream to Fly by Kevin Foley (etching)
Kevin Foley is an experienced art educator & printmaker having studied Fine Art at the Preston Institute of Technology in the late 1970’s and attaining a Dip. Ed. in 1980 from Melbourne State College. His studio is located on a small farm near the central Victorian township of Mia Mia. “The images I create are inspired by what I see around me every day on the farm and in the district. Sometimes humorous, always literal, the objects, animals and landscape continually offer up a feast of challenging opportunities. They allow me to interpret the common place that I encounter throughout my day,” Kevin says. His works are held in numerous private and public collections including RMIT, State Library of Victoria, Tweed River Art Gallery and City of Freemantle Arts Centre.
