John has been interested in printmaking since he was a small boy and although he paints, sculpts and makes music, printmaking is his main medium. Born in Melbourne, he studied painting and printmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts until 1986. Since that time, John has had fifteen solo exhibitions and has participated in over seventy group shows in Australia and internationally. His work is held in most of the major national collections in this country. He was recently selected as one of the 2016 PCA Print Commission artists and is currently working on a folio of prints based on Punch and Judy and a limited edition book due to be finished by the end of the year.
